1. Ohata Resource Canada purchases complete iPods, MP3 players, and e-readers with their original logic boards installed from a minimum quantity of one device. Individual sellers, schools, libraries, businesses, electronics recyclers, and commercial suppliers are all welcome, subject to current buying conditions.
2. iPods, MP3 players, and e-readers are classified as complete portable electronic devices, not loose printed circuit boards or electronic components. They are identified primarily by the presence of the original logic board, outer housing, display assembly, and overall device completeness, rather than by storage capacity or operating condition.
3. Each device is individually inspected for manufacturer, product family, generation, original logic board, physical condition, completeness, refurbishment potential, and recoverable material content. Complete devices that retain their original housing and internal electronics generally qualify for higher purchasing values.
4. Whenever practical, suppliers are encouraged to leave the device fully assembled before delivery. The original logic board, display assembly, buttons, battery, and major internal components should remain installed whenever possible. Customers are also encouraged to remove personal accounts and erase personal information before selling their devices.
5. Electronic scrap buying prices may change without notice due to commodity market fluctuations, refurbishment demand, processing costs, transportation expenses, and other market conditions. Final purchasing prices are confirmed only after physical inspection by Ohata Resource Canada.
