Therefore, every processor that meets the F Grade inspection standard is purchased at the same F Grade price.

F Grade commonly includes low-yield CPU packages with an organic or fiberglass substrate, a large metal heat spreader, and flat contact pads or relatively low-value pin structures. Their recoverable value is lower because much of the total weight consists of steel, nickel-plated metal, resin, fiberglass, and silicon, while the proportion of precious metals is comparatively limited.

Inspectors should identify F Grade CPUs by examining both sides of the processor. Typical indicators include:
A modern organic or fiber-based substrate rather than a valuable ceramic body.
